1999-: Barbara Rogers Blaney

Barbara Rogers Blaney became the tenth University Registrar in August 1999. She had served as Associate Registrar at the University since 1990, and had worked as Director of Registration from 1976 until 1982, when she became Registrar at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Blaney is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a major in English. Blaney holds the M.Ed. in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education from USC and has completed coursework for the Ph.D.

As U.S.C. enters the new millennium, Blaney strives to provide faculty and student customers with meaningful, accurate, and "smarter" processes that meet 21st century expectations. Under Blaney’s leadership, the Office of the University Registrar will work closely with other units at the University of South Carolina to identify shared goals and objectives and achieve campus-wide excellence in service, while maintaining the integrity of the student record.
